Alt.worship in Little Five Points

Jake's church plant, Trinitas, is sponsoring an Alternative Worship Installation this Thursday, April 26th from 7-9pm at Grandma Luke's in Little Five Points.

For all the details, check out Jake's post here.

.bE is a contemplative prayer event. This means that participants will progress through a series of stations designed to draw our attention to God, self, and the world. The event is “open” from 7-9pm, so it would be helpful if people staggered their arrival time so as to avert a bottle neck. It should take about 30 minutes or so to work through the stations. Folks from Trinitas will be around for processing and fellowship after you make your way through the stations. Refreshments will be provided.

Imagining a God Who May Be

Tomorrow's cohort meeting will be held from 8-10 PM at Cantina La Casita in East Atlanta Village.

We will be discussing the philosophy of Richard Kearney from last week's Emergent Philosophical Conversation in Philadelphia with Kearney and Jack Caputo. This should be an invigorating conversation about the work of one of the preeminent philosophers in the world today.

Below are two articles that you should read before coming to the cohort gathering.

"The God Who May Be"

"Enabling God"

About Us

You're a part of a bigger conversation, a bigger story of God's creation unfolding and realizing it's Creator's dreams in the clue of Jesus. Gather monthly to re-imagine how we can best participate locally in this conversation, story, dreams. This is an Emergent Cohort meeting to flesh out four commitments: to God in the way of Jesus, to the Church in all its Forms, to God's World, and to One Another. This is a theological conversation for any practitioners in the way of Jesus.
